Jiangsu Sainty closed the gap on Chinese Super League leaders Guangzhou Evergrande to four points after a 2-1 win over Hangzhou.

Ji Xiang and Romanian Christian Danalache gave Evergrande a 2-0 lead inside the first 16 minutes before Wang Song made it 2-1 five minutes later.

Dalian Shide took the honours in their derby with Dalian Aerbin with a 3-2 win.

James Chamanga scored twice and Shide took a 3-1 lead before Peter Utaka's penalty for Aerbin, which proved to be consolation.
