FC Twente successfully defended their Dutch Eredivisie lead with a 1-2 win at Roda JC. PSV and AZ won their respective matches as well.
Steve McClaren's Twente visited Roda JC and did as expected to clinch a 1-2 victory. Bryan Ruiz scored the opener after 34 minutes, and Miroslav Stock doubled the gap six minutes later.
Jeanvion Yulu Matondo pulled one back for Roda in the 56th minute, but Twente held on to their lead to add yet another win to their account.
PSV Eindhoven beat Vitesse 1-0 at Philips Stadium. The only goal of the rather uneventful match came from Balasz Dzsudzsak after 64 minutes.
AZ were on their way to yet another disappointment, this time at Groningen, until Jeremain Lens finally broke the deadlock with just five minutes to go.
Twente maintain their advantage of two points over second-placed PSV. AZ are currently in sixth place, though they could drop back to seventh on Sunday.
