Chelsea's John Terry - Victory is more ours than United's

Chelsea captain John Terry is confident about his side's form and is adamant about a win over title rivals Man United

Chelsea captain John Terry is aiming for a win against title rivals Manchester United as yet another stepping stone to move closer to the Premier League victory.

The Blues, who are in great form both defensively and in front of the goals, go into the game two points ahead of the previous year champions Manchester United. A victory will open up a five point gap, and Terry believes this will provide a solid base to go on and take the title.

Carlo Ancelotti's charges have gone five games in all competitions without defeat, and have conceded only two goals whilst averaging almost four strikes a game since their loss at Aston Villa.

This has left the captain confident about the Blue's form and is adamant that the time is better for them than for the United.

"I think it's a good because of the form we are in," Terry told the club's official website.

"We concentrate on ourselves more than anyone else, and if we're in a difficult shape it will be difficult, but we're in good form at the moment.

I think people are starting to see that and believe it themselves.

We are back to where we want to be, defensively looking good and going forward we pose a real threat. Not only with the men on the pitch but the bench as well, we have players that can come on and change the game."

Terry though is well aware of what United's strikers can do, having played alongside both Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney for England, while Dimitar Berbatov has become a familiar adversary and is now in his fourth season in English football. However, he claims that, a win will give them a good cushion to lay hands on the trophy after three long years.

The most anticipated match of the season, Chelsea against rivals Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge today is just a few hours away.
