BIRMINGHAM, May 11 (SW) - Birmingham City will spend next season in the Championship league despite a 4-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on the final day.

Murphy, Jerome (2) and Muamba scored for Birmingham, with Pedersen doing something back for the Rovers.

But the win couldn't take Birmingham out of the relegation zone. The team finish in 19th place, at one point from survivors Fulham and the also relegated Reading.
