Newcastle United FC striker Mark Viduka will be sidelined for between three and six months because of an achilles injury. The 32-year-old Australian international has a long-term problem and is due to visit a specialist.

"If it is three months, he won't miss much of next season," said Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan. Former Leeds United AFC forward Viduka has scored seven goals in 26 games since joining Newcastle from Middlesbrough FC last summer.
