GLASGOW (AFP) - Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink rescued a Scottish Cup quarter-final replay for Celtic as his last minute equaliser earned a 1-1 draw against Aberdeen on Sunday.

Gordon Strachan's team were on the verge of a shock exit when Aberdeen midfielder Jeffrey de Visscher fired past Artur Boruc in the 79th minute at Pittodrie.

But in stoppage time Dutch forward Vennegoor of Hesselink tapped-in a cross from substitute Georgios Samaras to save the Scottish champions.

The Premier League sides will play again at Parkhead for the right to meet First Division outfit Queen of the South in the semi-finals next month.
