Erik Gerets described Olympique de Marseille's French Cup reverse at fifth-division USJDA Carquefou as a more painful knockout blow than their UEFA Cup elimination last week. Marseille lost to an early goal at last-16 opponents Carquefou to follow up their away-goals defeat by FC Zenit St. Petersburg in the same round of the UEFA Cup.
