Cypriot club AC Omonia have continued their planning for next season by signing German defender Thomas Scheuring. The 26-year-old joins from SSV Reutlingen after agreeing a one-year deal with the option of a second year.

Omonia have endured a season of upheaval with three managers and a change of board since last summer. They hope for better next term having already recruited three players in Czech midfielder David Kobylík, Nigerian defender Rasheed Alabi and Rwandan defender Hamad Ndikumana.
