GUIMARAES, Apr 12 (SW) - Vitoria Guimaraes are the new number two in Portugal, after a narrow home victory over Boavista on Saturday.

As Benfica surprisingly lost to Academica de Coimbra on Friday, Guimaraes knew that this was the chance to move into second place with four games to go in the Liga Bwin.

After 32 minutes, Guimaraes took the lead through Miljan Mrdakovic, and the visiting side never managed to fight their way back into the game.

Guimaraes now have 48 points from 26 matches, three points more than Benfica.

In Setubal meanwhile, FC Porto gave their recent championship some more value with a 2-1 win over homeside Vitoria Setubal.

Lisandro López and Mariano scored for Porto, while the only goal for Setubal came from Hugo.
