Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster will more than likely release Wesley Sneijder to play for the Netherlands in their crucial European World Cup Qualifiers in the next ten days or so.

The Dutch playmaker has only just recovered from a serious cruciate knee ligament and has yet to play for his club this season.

Schuster has been considering bringing him on this weekend in the Primera Division match against Espanyol Barcelona.

It had originally been rumoured that Schuster was not going to allow his star player to play for his country.

The Netherlands are due to play against Iceland on 11 October and Norway four days later on 15 October.
