LONDON, May 11 (SW) - Chelsea did win their match over Bolton Wanderers on Sunday, but it wasn't enough for the Blues to take the Premiership title.
The only goal of the match at Stamford Bridge was scored by Ukranian striker Andriy Shevchenko, who netted from close rangers after having a deflected shot ending up in front of his feet.
But as Manchester United won their match at Wigan, Chelsea never stood a chance of finishing in first place.
Instead, the Londoners finish second with the same amount of points as United but a worse goal record.
