LONDON (SW) - New Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has high hopes for the coming seasons, and aims to win all the competitions the Londoners take part in.

In an interview with Chelsea TV, of which the transcript was published on the club's official website, Scolari spoke about his side's chances for next season.

"I think we have the conditions to win all the competitions that we are in. And we will try the best for Chelsea, the best for the players, the best for our fans. I don't know how many championships we'll win - one, two, three or four, I don't know but we'll try," said the former Brazil and Portugal coach.

Elsewhere in the interview though, Scolari did put his own words into perspective: "It's normal. Clubs need to win every competition. It's normal for the coach; you will never hear a coach say that he only came to the club to play. I want to win, that's normal."

Scolari also claims to be ready for any media attention he might receive in England's capital city.

"Yes, I am ready. I am a simple man, I have my family, I have my friends. Normal. Similar to other people. I tell my family and friends what happens and what we hear, might not be true. I'm ready, no problem."

When Scolari was linked to the England national team in 2006, media reports suggested that he rejected the possibility due to a dislike for English media.
