PRAGUE, June 7 (SW) - Czech Republic playmaker Pavel Nedved could make a move to French club Monaco should his present club Juventus Turin be relegated, according to Czech media reports.
Juventus is at the center of the Italian match-fixing scandal, and if the allegations are proven true, the Old Lady could face demotion to the second division.
The 34-year-old Nedved would then be eager to move, with Monaco a potential destination. The principality club signed Nedved’s Czech team-mate Jan Koller on Monday.
"After the World Cup anything could happen. I will be 34-years-old in the summer, I do not know if I will still want to play," Nedved said last month.
"I have not yet taken the decision if I will or will not finish my international career or my career as a player, but the possibility is there.
"There is a lot of talk in Turin of an eventual relegation to the Second Division. I must wait to see how the situation develops at Juventus - it is that which will decide my decision about the future."
