BERN, Oct 12 (SW) - Martin Andermatt has left his post as manager of Liechtenstein to take the reigns of Swiss top-flight side Young Boys.

Andermatt, who also had a role with club side FC Vaduz, will inherit the Young Boys managerial role from Genort Rohr, and his first league outing will be against local rivals FC Thun.

The 44-year-old ex-Swiss international had been manager of Liechtenstein since 2004 and led them to several memorable results, including a draw with heavily-favored Portugal during qualifying for World Cup 2006.

Andermatt has managed in Switzerland before with Wil, and has also been in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt in his career.
