MADRID, Dec 22 (SW) - Just days after signing Gonzalo Higuaín, Real Madrid landed yet another promising Argentine talent, bringing in Boca Juniors midfielder Fernando Gago.

The 20-year-old arrived at the Bernabéu on Friday for a medical and is expected to sign a deal for six-and-a-half years, lasing through the end of the 2012/13 season, for a fee of €20.4 million.

Gago, likened to former Argentina and Real Madrid star Fernando Redondo, is expected to play in the center of midfield, although he is capable of playing out wide, causing more speculation that David Beckham could be on his way out.

The signing is another by Fabio Capello in an attempt to bring a lot of new blood into the side to replace some of the team's stars who are in the latter years of their footballing careers.
