LEIPZIG, Aug 5 (SW) - Werder Bremen have won their fourth Liga-Pokal, beating Bayern Munich 2-0 with two goals from striker Ivan Klasnic.

After 29 minutes, just when Bayern increased their pressure on the opponents, it was Werder to open the score. Miroslav Klose found Ivan Klasnic, who did well to hit the net for 1-0.

The champions could not reply and Klasnic added a second in the 66th minute. This time, the forward took a free kick from 23 meters to double the lead.

In the remainder of the match, the Bavarians did not have the energy to do something back and Werder earned their fourth ever Liga-Pokal, formerly known as Super Cup.

The most recent victory came in 1994. Just like now, Bayern were the losing side.
